Likawise is a daily puzzle game. It stores your answers so it can show you how they compare with everyone else’s. There are no adverts, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone for marketing.

You can play without an account. When you do, a cookie is placed in your browser containing a random identifier — no name, no email, nothing about you. It exists so the site knows you’ve already played today and can show you your own results.

Alongside that identifier we store:

• the three answers you pick each day, and the order you put them in
• exactly what you typed, as well as the answer it was matched to
• a name, only if you type one into the share box
• any question you suggest
• any guess you make at someone else’s answers

Clear your cookies and that link is broken — the answers stay in the totals, but nothing connects them to you any more, and we can’t reconnect them either.

Google tells us your email address, your name and your profile picture. That is all we ask for and all we receive. We never see your Google password, and Likawise cannot read anything else in your Google account.

Signing in links the answers already stored against your browser to your account, so they follow you to other devices. That is the whole reason the option exists.

Your answers are counted into the daily totals everyone sees, but those totals are just numbers — nobody can tell which answers were yours.

The exception is when you share your result. Anyone who opens that link, and plays themselves, is shown your three answers and the name you typed, if you typed one. That is the point of sharing, but it is worth knowing before you do it.

Questions you suggest are never shown to other players. Only we read those.

Only two, both strictly necessary: the one holding your random identifier, and — if you sign in — one keeping you signed in. There are no analytics or advertising cookies, which is why you haven’t been shown a consent banner.

Your browser also remembers the name you last used for sharing, so you don’t have to retype it. That stays on your device.

• Vercel hosts the site.
• Supabase runs the database where all of the above is stored.
• Google, only if you choose to sign in with it.

Nobody else. No advertising networks, no analytics providers, no data brokers.

Past answers are kept so the game can show you what you said last time a question came round, and so the daily totals stay accurate. If you delete your account, your account and the link between you and your answers go with it.

You can ask for a copy of everything held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email hello@likawise.com and it will be dealt with within a month.

If you think your data has been mishandled you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

You need to be 13 or over to sign in. Anyone can play anonymously — no account, nothing personal stored.
